Description
This is an oast house built in the late 19th century, located about 40 metres north of Warmlake Farmhouse. The kilns are made of chequered red and grey brick, while the stowage features weather-boarded timber framing on chequered brick piers. Originally, the stowage was open at the front, supported by three timber posts with padstones, but this has since been infilled with weatherboarding. The roofs are covered with plain tiles. At the north end of the rectangular stowage, there are two circular kilns, which have dentilled brick eaves and truncated conical roofs. The stowage roof is hipped to the south.
On the stowage, there are three 1980s two-light casement windows designed in a 19th-century style. There is a boarded door on the right side of the stowage and another door on the left gable end, which is accessed by iron steps. Additionally, there are two late half-glazed doors on the ground floor of the stowage. A brick on the kiln is dated 1877. Inside, the structure features a scientific queen-strut roof, with boarding also dated 1877.
