Description
Bly Court Manor is a house dating from the late 16th century. It features a timber frame, with the ground floor on the left side of the door constructed of red brick in stretcher bond, and the right side made of red and grey brick in Flemish bond. The first floor is rendered, and the gable ends are close-studded. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has two storeys. There is a continuous jetty supported by solid-spandrel brackets, which returns to the right on a moulded dragon post. The roof is steeply pitched and hipped, with a slender projecting stack at the left gable end and a projecting rear stack on the right. The windows are irregularly arranged, consisting of three leaded casements: one 2-light towards the left end and two 3-light windows. A ribbed door is located towards the centre of the facade. At the rear of the right gable end, there is a lean-to with a roof that continues into a short gabled rear wing around the rear stack, and another lean-to is present on the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
