1/7 Barn about 25 metres South-West of Brishing Court

Barn. C14. Timber framed, weatherboarded, on stone plinth. Tiled roof. 6 timber-framed bays, with front and rear aisles, built at right-angles to road. Midstreys to second and fifth bays from road (east). Hipped roof. Two small paned windows. Double doors to south side of each midstrey, and to north side of east midstrey. Gabled porch with double doors, rising from aisle to north side of west midstrey. Interior: gunstock-jowled principal posts arch-braced to arcade plates and to slightly cambered tie-beams. Posts rest on wooden cills on stone plinths. Plain crown-posts with foot and head braces. Curved passing shores to aisles. Reversed assembly to aisles. Arch-braces to aisle walls. Edge-halved scarf- joints with soffit keys, to arcade plates.
