Description
Nos. 1, 2, 3, and 4 Church Walk is a house row that dates from the 16th or 17th century, with a facade added in the late 18th or early 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of red and grey brick in English bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The building has a plain tile roof and is set back at right angles to the rear of the Cloth Hall, with much lower eaves and ridge than the Cloth Hall. The roof is hipped to the left, with the hip returning. There is a central brick ridge stack and a projecting gable end stack to the left. The windows feature irregular fenestration with three 3-light leaded casements. The doors are modern ribbed doors, with one at the right end for No. 1, one to Munks Cottage to the left of the stack, and another to Oak Cottage in the left return wing. The long left return wing is built with similar materials. The interior has not been inspected.
