Description

HARRIETSHAM WEST STREET TQ 85 SE (north side) 4/64 No. 62 GV II House row, formerly Post office and shop, now Post Office. Mid- to-late C19 front to C18 or earlier building. Right end bay painted brick, rest painted brick to ground floor, first floor banded plain and fishscale tiles. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on plinth with half hipped roof. Rear stack to left. Irregular fenestration of 4 glazing-bar sashes. Right end bay has boarded first-floor loading door closely flanked by recessed blind windows. Ground floor has 2 late C19 canted bay windows and late C19 shop front with recessed door and windows. Boarded door with flat bracketted hood between bay windows towards left end, boarded door under flat corniced hood between right bay window and shop front, half-glazed and boarded door towards right end of shop front, and double doors under segmental head to right end bay. Interior not inspected.
