Description

Dean Street TQ 75 SW EAST FARLEIGH Gate House Farm 2/26 House and No. 1 23.5.67 Gate House GV II Farmhouse, now house and office. C17 or earlier. Timber framed. First floor weatherboarded. Ground floor of left end rendered, and of right end painted brick. Plain tile roof. 2 storeys on stone plinth. Gable end jetty to left; Roof hipped to left with gablet, half-hipped to right. Multiple brick ridge stack to left of centre. Irregular fenestration of 3 windows; blank area to left, small rectangular window to left of stack, one 3-light gabled through dormer to right of stack and one 2-light casement towards right end. Boarded door under stack and half-glazed door towards right end. Rear lean-to. Timber-framed rear wing to left, also with multiple brick ridge stack. Interior not inspected. Formerly called the New Inn.
