Description
Foley House is a 17th-century house located in East Farleigh. It features a timber frame with a ground floor made of red brick in Flemish bond and a first floor that is weatherboarded. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has a lobby entry plan consisting of two timber-framed bays and a central stack bay. The house has two tall storeys and a garret, with the base of an exposed principal post located to the left of the stack. The half-hipped roof has jettied half hips and a central brick ridge stack. The windows are irregularly arranged, with three casements positioned well below the eaves; two of these are two-light windows with top lights, and there is a central single-light window. The entrance features a central panelled door. There are short lower rear return wings to the right and centre, constructed of the same materials. Adjoining the left side of the rear wing is a plain two-storey stone coach-house. Inside, the house has exposed framing and a tooled stone fireplace.
