Description
Crabtree Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse that has been converted into a house, with 19th-century and later alterations. The building features a timber frame, with red brick on the ground floor in Flemish bond and weatherboarding on the first floor. It has a plain tile roof and stands two storeys tall with a gabled design. To the left, there is a slender projecting gable end stack, and a brick ridge stack is located slightly to the right of the center. The windows are arranged irregularly and include four casements: one two-light, two three-light, and one single-light. A panelled door is situated under the stack, within a shallow brick porch. There are rear wings on both the left and right sides, which have weatherboarded gables, along with a rear lean-to positioned between them. The interior, which has only been partly observed, features a long brick inglenook with a chamfered bressumer and cross and axial beams to the left.
