Description
Slaney Place is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Headcorn Road in Staplehurst. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a slate roof. It has a double depth and stands two storeys tall, with flat eaves soffits and a hipped roof. There are rear stacks on both the right and left sides. The front of the house has a regular arrangement of three windows, which are recessed 12-pane sashes with rubbed brick voussoirs. The ground-floor windows have splayed rubbed brick voussoirs, and there is a blind box for the ground-floor window on the right gable end. The central entrance features a half-glazed and panelled door with a rectangular leaded fanlight, sheltered by a Doric porch with a flat corniced hood. The interior has not been inspected.
