Description
No. 69 on High Street is a house that was originally two cottages, built in the early 19th century. The ground floor features a chequered pattern of red and grey brick at the front, with small blocks of coursed stone on the right gable end. The first floor is tile-hung, and the building has a plain tile roof. It stands at two storeys with a later shallow-pitched hipped roof and a tall central brick chimney. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of five casements: two 2-light windows towards each end, two 3-light windows on either side of the chimney, and a small single light in the center. The central entrance has a 20th-century ribbed door, and there is a blocked doorway between the first and second windows from each end. The building was formerly known as Nos. 1 and 2 Manor Cottages.
