Description
Rushford Manor is a house with a late 18th century or early 19th century facade, possibly added to an earlier 18th century structure. The ground floor is built of red brick in Flemish bond, while the first floor is tile-hung. The rear wall is timber framed, and the roof is covered with plain tiles. The building features a lobby entry plan and consists of two storeys and an attic set on a stone plinth. It has a moulded wooden eaves cornice, a hipped roof to the left, and a half-hipped roof to the right, with a central brick ridge stack and two hipped dormers. The front has a regular arrangement of three windows, including two tripartite sashes and a central 12-pane sash. The ground floor also has tripartite sashes. The central entrance features a 20th-century ribbed door with a segmental head beneath a flat floating hood. To the left, there is a lean-to constructed with the same materials as the facade. Inside, the building has exposed framing and a staggered butt purlin roof with dormers that have been inserted, using re-used timbers.
