Description

Bell’s Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse with alterations from the early 19th century. It is timber framed and has a plain tile roof, likely a remnant of the original roof. The front elevation is weatherboarded on the right gable end and pebbledashed elsewhere. The building sits on a rendered plinth. The right gable end is jettied with shaped brackets, and the roof is hipped. A brick stack is positioned to the right of centre on the rear elevation. The fenestration is irregular, featuring leaded casements; a two-light window is on the left, and a small three-light window sits above the porch. A two-storey rectangular bay is located beneath the stack, with a ten-light, moulded mullioned and transomed window on each floor. The sides and the space between the floors of the bay are weatherboarded and the base is pebbledashed. A ribbed door is positioned to the left of centre, with moulded jambs and vase chamfer stops. There is an early 17th-century timber-framed porch, pebbledashed externally and close-studded internally. It has carved and moulded bargeboards with a finial. The interior has not been inspected.
