Description
Hecton Farmhouse is a farmhouse that was formerly cottages and has been converted into a house. It dates from the 16th century or earlier, with a facade added in the 19th century. The building is timber framed, with the ground floor constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and the first floor tile-hung. It has a plain tile roof that is hipped with gablets. The farmhouse is two storeys high and features slender projecting brick end stacks, along with a brick stack located on the front slope of the roof, slightly off-centre to the left. The windows are arranged irregularly, consisting of four casements: three with three lights and one with two lights located under the stack. There is a half-glazed door positioned beneath and slightly to the left of the stack, as well as a blocked door towards the centre of the building. To the left, there is a short two-storey rear wing. The interior has not been inspected.
