Description
The Deerhouse, located about 8 metres south of the stock yard at East Sutton Park, is a mid-19th century building. The south elevation and lower parts of the gable ends are constructed from coursed galletted stone with red brick dressings, while the north elevation and upper parts of the gables feature a chequered pattern of red and grey brick. The roof is made of plain tiles. The building is set into a hillside, with two storeys on the south side and one storey on the north side. The gables are topped with brick coping and kneelers. The south elevation has a regular arrangement of three recessed casement windows on the first floor and two circular windows on the ground floor. There is a tall, round-headed central entrance that does not have doors. The north elevation features boarded doors at each end, which lead to the hay loft. The interior has not been inspected.
