Description
The deer shelter, located approximately 160 meters north-north-east of Heydon Hall, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features stepped eaves and a plain-tile facetted roof topped with a ball finial. The building has an octagonal plan, with each side containing an arch that includes a keystone, two blind arches, and four arches that have been subsequently blocked. One of the keystones is a stone figure that is likely re-used. The two blind arches also incorporate diagonally-set square unglazed windows.
