Description
The building is a former service range and staff quarters known as Keeper's Cottage, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a black-glazed pantiled roof that is hipped at the east end. The south facade has five bays, but the range is truncated at the west end, where there is a rendered gable wall. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, although one ground floor and one first floor window opening have been blocked, along with one doorway. To the left side, there is a six-panel part-glazed door. The openings are topped with gauged brick arches, and there is an off-centre ridge stack towards the east. On the east wall, there is a large semicircular-headed recess with a rubbed brick arch and keyblocks, which contains two 2-light casements. Additionally, there is an attached screen wall and a square gate pier with an urn finial at the north-east corner.
