Description

This is a hand pump located immediately west of the junction with Sutton Street in Bearsted. It dates from around 1800 and is made of iron, featuring a handle on the right and a spout at the front. The pump has a plain domed top and served as the only public water supply in this area of Bearsted until 1926.
