Description
Ye Olde Leather Bottel is an 18th century inn located at the corner of Springhead Road and Dover Road. The building has two storeys and an attic, framed in softwood. The north facade features a rendered ground floor and a weatherboarded first floor, with a bay that includes three-light sash windows on both the ground and first floors, as well as two flat sash windows with glazing bars on each floor. There are also two modern doors. The west and south facades have undergone late 19th or 20th century alterations, with a rendered ground floor and a mock timbered first floor. Wooden gabled porches have been added to these facades. The roof is hipped and tiled, with two gabled, tiled dormers on the west slope.
