Description
West Down Farmhouse is a 16th-century timber-framed "hall" house, located on Shipley Hills Road, Meopham. The property has undergone significant restoration and modernisation. The ground floor is brick-faced, while the first floor is clad in weatherboarding and tarred. The roof is tiled and hipped at the north end. Casement windows are present, alongside a first-floor entrance door. Internally, the farmhouse retains an ingle fireplace, exposed beams, and portions of the original timber framing and roof timbers.
