Description

Tewes Farmhouse is a building that originally dates from the 15th to 16th century and was constructed as a timber-framed and plastered hall house. In the 16th or 17th century, a floor and fireplaces were added, and the roof features smoke blackened timbers. The farmhouse has been restored and renovated and stands two storeys high. It has modern casement windows, and some of the timber-framing is exposed on the north-west side. The roof is thatched and hipped, with a central chimney stack.
