Description

Hartley Bottom Farmhouse is a 17th century or earlier timber-framed building that was refaced in the 18th century. It is two storeys high and constructed of red brick with grey headers. The facade features three casement windows and a central chimneystack. There are two simple doorcases, each topped with thick wooden weather hoods. The rear of the building has a catslide roof. Historical records from 1841 indicate that it was once an inn called The King's Arms, but it ceased to operate as an inn in 1864 and became a farmhouse.
