Description

Whitehouse Farmhouse is a 16th century timber-framed hall house that was floored in the 17th century. The exterior features plastered walls with traces of panel pargetting on the front. The roof is steep and covered with black glazed pantiles that have plain ends. There is an off-centre brick chimney stack and an external brick stack at the north end of the building. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, with a five-window range. The windows are 19th century, consisting of two and three-light casements. There are two modern doors, one located in front of the stack, which has a door surround made of lath and moulded terracotta tiles from the 15th century. A lean-to structure is present at the rear.
