Oakdean is a 17th-century timber-frame house with a roughcast exterior. It features a steep pantile roof with gabled ends and has one storey plus an attic. A modern long continuous flat roof dormer has been added, along with modern casements and a late 19th or early 20th century gabled porch at the center. There is an internal brick chimney stack located at the west end and a late 19th-century lean-to on the north end. At the rear, there is a large modern flat-roofed addition that is rendered.
