Description
The curved garden wall, railings, and gates located about 18 yards west-southwest of Boxted Lodge date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The wall is primarily constructed of gault brick and encloses part of a small oval front garden. To the east, it ends in a plain brick gate-pier topped with a rendered pyramidal cap, which serves as the west pier of the south entrance to the garden. There are steps leading down to the north beyond a similar, smaller pier, reaching a height of about 2 feet 6 inches, where it is topped with spear-head railings. A small iron gate is positioned opposite the house.
