Description

Albion Villas comprises two houses built in 1843-4. They are three storeys high with a basement, and constructed of stuccoed walls with a slate roof. The roofs are punctuated by two pedimented gables, each topped with a ball finial. The front façade originally had five windows, two situated under the gables, two in a two-storey section between these, and a final window in a two-storey extension to the right side of number 2. The windows are sash windows with vertical glazing bars only. Each floor has three-light bays. Crenellations sit above the windows on the second floor. A hood moulding is present above the first-floor windows situated between the gables. A band of quatrefoil moulding runs between the ground and first floors. The left side elevation of number 1 features a two-storey bay with three lights, and has been recently altered with the insertion of a second storey. Numbers 1 to 6 form a group.
