Description
Nos 26 and 28 on Church Street are now two cottages, likely originally built as one, dating from the 18th century. The buildings are two storeys tall, with No 28 featuring an attic. The front of the cottages is mainly covered in weather-boarding, while the ground floor of No 26 is constructed from red brick with grey headers. They have a tiled roof with a half-hipped gable, which includes an attic window for No 28. Each cottage has one window, most of which retain their glazing bars. The ground floor of No 26 has a three-light sash window, and No 28 features a doorway topped with a small flat hood supported by brackets. Together with Nos 12 to 28 (even) and Cobblestones in front of Nos 22 and 24, these cottages form a cohesive group.
