Description

The former Municipal Offices in Folkestone date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. This building is two storeys high, constructed of red brick with grey headers, and sits on a stone base. The original section features three windows, while an additional section at the north end also has three windows. It has a brick eaves cornice and sash windows with verticals only, including two three-light sashes in the earlier part. The entrance boasts a doorcase with pilasters and a fanlight, along with a six-panelled moulded door flanked by narrow lights. Inside, there is a notable staircase with two turned balusters for each tread and scrolled tread ends.
