Description

This is a house dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, situated on the east side of High Street, Wingham. It is timber-framed and rendered, with sections underbuilt in painted brick. The roof is tiled, hipped, and features a stack centrally located to the left. The roof steps up towards the rear wing. The south-facing front has one sash window with glazing bars on each floor. The right return and rear elevation also feature a wing with a jetty. The interior reveals evidence of original jettying to face the road, and includes a crown post roof. A stack obstructs what was originally a doorway in an upper room.
