Description

This is a house dating from the 16th century, which was substantially altered and re-faced in the late 18th century. It is timber-framed and originally rendered, but now underbuilt with red brick. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with a basement, and features a rear and right-hand stack. There are two glazing bar sashes on each floor, and a four-panel door with a moulded frame and rectangular fanlight in the centre of the right-hand side. A basement opening is located to the right. The interior reveals the original timber frame, indicating a jetty to the road frontage.
