Description
This is a house dating from the 15th century, which was re-faced in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and has been clad with red brick, with the first floor rendered and painted brick to the left return. The roof is tiled, with a hipped roof and a projecting offset stack to the left, along with stacks at the rear left and right, and a hipped dormer on the left return. The windows are a three-light metal casement on the first floor and a glazing bar sash on the ground floor. A boarded door is located in the left return. The interior reveals timber framing indicating an original jetty to the road front, with stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. There was originally an open hall behind a two-storey section and a cellar to the front.
