Description
Young's Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of painted brick, with some areas rendered, and has a plain tiled roof. The building features a lobby entry plan in the East Kent Artisan Mannerist style. It stands two storeys high and has a plat band with two pilaster strips at the center. The roof has a moulded wooden eaves cornice, with stacks located at the center left and rear end left, and a kneelered parapet gable on the left side.
On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has four glazing bar sash windows, all with moulded frames. The door, located at the center left, consists of six raised and fielded panels and is framed by a fluted Doric pilaster surround with a cornice above.
