Description
The Post Office is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of painted local brick and features a modern plain tile roof with a large square ridge stack. The building is two storeys high and has a two-unit plan, although the original lobby entry has been blocked. There is a dentil brick eaves cornice, and on the first floor, there are two twelve-paned hung sash windows in flush wooden frames, along with two similar but larger windows on the ground floor. A brick plinth supports the structure. The main entrance is located in a modern shop to the east. Inside, there are two inglenook hearths and a hearth over the parlour on the first floor. The interior also showcases exposed floor frames and chamfered axial beams.
