Description

The Moon and Sixpence is a cottage that was formerly an inn. It features a medieval rear wall frame consisting of three bays, which has mortices for aisle ties and was rebuilt in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed, plastered, and cased with painted brick, topped by a red pantile roof with a local brick ridge stack. It has one storey and an attic, along with a rear outshut. The front has two flat-roofed horizontal sliding sash windows and one window on the first floor. The three ground floor windows have been replaced with modern versions. A large side stack made of local brick is located on the north-west gable.
