Description

Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse, originally built in the 17th century with a lobby-entry plan featuring an original central stack. It was substantially rebuilt during the 18th and mid-19th centuries. The south-east section was rebuilt in the 18th century using local yellow gault brick, with clunch gables and rear walls, while the north-west section dates to the 19th century and is constructed from gault brick. The building has plain tile roofs at two levels and includes a cellar to the south-east and attics.

The farmhouse has two storeys and a main entrance on the north-west side. A flat-roofed dormer window is present. There are two twelve-paned hung sash windows on each floor, set within segmental brick arches. A four-panelled, half-glazed door is set within a moulded wooden architrave with corner bosses. A single four-paned hung sash window is located on the right-hand side at each floor level.
