Description

Chilton Cottage is a house dating from around 1700. It is constructed of red brick, with the lower courses laid in English bond, and features a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a corbelled brick eaves cornice. The roof is hipped on the left side and has a stack at the right end.

On the first floor, there are two four-light leaded casements that project on brick corbels, with the left window flanked by a single pilaster strip. The ground floor has irregular fenestration, including a small light to the left, a central four-light wooden casement, and a glazing bar sash to the right. Access to the house is through a half-glazed door located in the rear courtyard. Inside, there are inglenook fireplaces.
