Description

This is a pair of cottages from the 18th century located behind The Beauty Shop on Ash Pudding Lane. They are constructed of red brick and feature a pantiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high and have a dogtooth cornice, with a central stack. Originally, there were three window bays, but a fourth bay was added later to the left. The first floor has three glazing bar sash windows and a wooden casement window to the left, while the ground floor has two wooden casement windows and a glazing bar sash window with a painted head to the right. There are two panelled doors, one to the centre left and one to the centre right, both topped with gabled hoods supported by brackets. The cottages are included for their group value.
