Description
This lychgate, located about 10 metres south of the Church of St. James, dates from 1664. It is timber framed and features a plain tiled roof. The structure has three posts that are arched braced to the ground, with additional braces connecting these arches to the roof plate. The roof is hipped and includes gablets. There are arched heads for the pedestrian entry and a less pronounced arch for the main bier gateway. Above the bier gate, there is an inscription that reads: HS.1664 I.B.
