Description
The lych gate located to the south of the Church of St James the Less is a churchyard structure built in the later 19th century, likely around 1873, during the church's rebuilding, which was also designed by Street. The gate features stone ashlar side walls and a slate roof with gablets at both ends. Below the roof, there is a timber framework that includes Decorated style tracery and moulded timber shouldered arches at the front and rear. The lych gate retains its original open panelled fretwork gates.
