Description

The headstone to John White, who died in 1760, is located about 5 metres south of the Church of St Anthony. It stands approximately 2½ feet high and features scrolled and floriate sides to the cornice. The headstone is decorated with a central figure of John White, flanked by an hourglass. To the left, he is depicted bribing the figure of Life with a bag of gold, while he turns his back to Death, represented by a skeleton on the right.
