Description
Hogbrook is a house dating from the 15th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century. It features a timber frame with exposed close studding and plaster infill on a flint base, along with red brick and rendered walls on the return elevations. The roof is plain tiled. The building is designed as a hall house with a jettied cross-wing. It has one storey and an attic, along with a two-storey wing and a basement to the left, which is jettied on dragon posts. The roof is hipped with a gablet to the right, and there are stacks located at the rear left and centre right, as well as a flat-roofed dormer in the centre and on the left return. The first floor of the wing has a glazing bar sash window, while the ground floor features two tripartite glazing bar sashes and a wooden casement to the right. There is a basement opening to the left and a half-glazed door located in a gabled porch at the centre.
