Description

This barn, located about 20 metres east of Rowling House, dates from the 16th to 17th century and was constructed in two phases. It features a timber frame clad with red brick and has an asbestos-clad roof. The roof is half-hipped with a raking mid stry and includes an extension at the rear left. Inside, the barn has four bays with aisles and terminal outshots. There are passing shores to the arcade posts in the main range and quadrant braces in the return wing. The roof structure consists of clasped purlins.
