Description

No. 44 High Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant, dated 1620. The building is rendered and features a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys tall on a plinth, with the roof hipped to the left, a rear stack, and a flush skylight. On the first floor, there are three cross windows, while the ground floor has two plate glass canted bays with central double half-glazed doors. Flanking the central first floor window are two heart-shaped date stones, inscribed with "W 1620" and "I E".
