Description
No. 45 High Street is a house that has been converted into a restaurant. It dates from the early 18th century but was refronted in the early 19th century. The building is rendered and features painted brick on the side elevations, topped with a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with rusticated quoins on the ground floor and a wooden modillion eaves cornice on the hipped roof, which includes two flat dormers and a stack at the rear left.
On the first floor, there are two bow windows with glazing bar sashes and moulded cornices, while the ground floor has two plate glass canted bays and a central half-glazed door. There is a basement opening and a plat band on the left side elevation, along with a two-storey slate-roofed wing at the rear.
