Description
This barn, located about 50 metres southeast of Dene Farmhouse, dates from the 16th and 17th centuries. It features a timber frame clad with red brick and has roofs that are both concrete tiled and slated. The main range is hipped and steps down, with a half-hipped section to the right. There are buttressed cart doors on the left and a hipped mid-strey to the right. Inside, the main range consists of six bays with aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, and wind braces supporting a clasped purlin roof that includes inserted queen struts. The barn is extended by four additional bays and aisles, also featuring a low-level clasped purlin roof.
