Description

Dene Cottage is a pair of cottages dating from the late 17th century. They are constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The building stands two storeys high on a plinth, featuring rendered quoins and a plat band that is raised above the original ground floor openings. The roof has a double dogtooth cornice, with stacks located at the rear left and rear right. On the first floor, there are three glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has two sash windows and two boarded doors at the centre, each with rectangular fanlights above. Additionally, the ground floor shows the four-centred arches and segmental heads of earlier blocked openings.
