Description
The stable range to the rear of Uffington Court is a building dating from the late 17th century and 1847. It is constructed of red and brown brick with a combination of plain tiled and slate roofing. The 19th-century section, which is adjacent to the house, features three boarded doors with rectangular fanlights and a cart entry on the left side. The door on the right end of this section is marked with the date J.P. 1847. The 17th-century stables at the left end have a plinth, eight pilaster strip buttresses, and an eaves cornice beneath a full hipped roof. This part also includes two boarded doors with rectangular fanlights. Inside, there are partial remains of stalls and a clasped purlin roof.
