Description
Ivydew Cottage, located on Longfield Nurstead Lane, is a likely late 17th-century timber-framed building that has been faced with brick. It is a single storey with attics, constructed of red brick featuring some grey headers. The cottage has a thatched roof adorned with two eyebrow dormers that include casement windows. There are four additional casement windows, each with brick relieving arches. A stock brick buttress supports the structure. The entrance features two modern Dutch doors with cambered arches, supported by wooden elements and topped with hipped thatched weather hoods. Inside, the cottage showcases exposed beams and slender diagonal braces, along with an inglenook fireplace.
