Description

Stour Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century and late 18th century, located on Ringwood Road in Longham. The northern side of the older section features exposed timber framing with painted brick infill, while the other walls are made of painted brickwork. The cottage has a thatched roof with eyebrow dormers. It consists of a low east-west block that is one storey with an attic, which is attached at its eastern end to a taller 18th-century crossing. The symmetrical east front elevation has two storeys and two windows, with sashes in exposed frames and 20th-century casements in the older part. The doorways are plain and have boarded doors.
