Description

Number 18 on Best Lane is part of a 15th-century range, along with Nos 19 and 20. The building has two storeys, with the ground floor made of painted brick and the first floor rendered. It features an old tiled roof and includes one sash window with a moulded architrave. The doorcase on the right side has a modillion frieze in the cornice and pilasters, leading to a six flush panelled door. At the rear, there is a two-storey extension with a weatherboarded gable end. The side elevation has sash windows and a simple doorcase. Nos 16A to 20, along with Nos 22 and 23, form a group.
