Description

No 3 Best Lane is a 18th-century building featuring a stuccoed exterior with two parallel ranges and three storeys. The roof has coping, and there are two sash windows with moulded architraves and intact glazing bars. The ground floor sash window is topped by a scrolled open curved pediment. The right side doorcase includes an open pediment, pilasters, a round-headed fanlight, and a six-panelled door with fielded panels. The rear elevation is primarily tile-hung and also has sash windows. Inside, the ground floor boasts a fine Adamesque medallion above a marble fireplace. Nos 3 to 12 Best Lane are part of a group of buildings.
